Install Citrix Receiver

Applies to: Faculty, Employees, Students

PC:

1. In a web browser, navigate to www.citrix.com
2. However over Downloads
3. Click Download Receiver
4. Click Download Receiver for Windows
5. Select the check box to agree to the Citrix License Agreement
6. Click Continue
7. When prompted, run the CitrixReceiver.exe file
8. Click Install 
9. Once installed, open Citrix Receiver from the list of applications
10. Enter the server name apps.smu.edu
11. When prompted, enter your SMU ID and password

MAC:

1. In a web browser, navigate to www.citrix.com
2. However over Downloads
3. Click Download Receiver
4. Click Download Receiver for Mac
5. On a Mac computer, the .dmg file appears in the Mac Downloads folder, click the folder
6. Select the CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg file
7. When prompted, click Install Citrix Receiver
8. Follow the instructions provided by the Receiver Installer
9. Once installed, open Citrix Receiver from the list of applications
10. Enter the server name apps.smu.edu
11. When prompted, enter your SMU ID and password
