Remove a Sign-In Method from Microsoft Authenticator

Note: at least one method of MFA must remain on the account at all times. If you're having trouble, pleae contact the SMU Help Desk at 214-768-4357(HELP)

 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. On your computer, go to 👉 https://aka.ms/mfasetup
  2. Sign in using your SMU email address and password
  3. Under the Security info section, you’ll see a list of your current sign-in methods

  4. To remove a method, click the Delete link next to the device or option you no longer use

  5. Confirm when prompted

✅ The sign-in method will be removed from your account.
