Install LockDown Browser

Brief Description: For SMU, you can download the Lockdown browser from 3 Locations:

In the Canvas course

• Click on the quiz within Canvas that requires LockDown Browser.
• A hyperlink to download the program will be available within the browser window

On the LockDown Browser Service page - https://www.smu.edu/OIT/Services/LockDownBrowser

• Click on Getting Started for Students
• Click on Download LockDown Browser Here

• It will detect what system is on the computer and provide the appropriate download
• Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions to complete the install
